Questions for Weds. 12/30/09

Hi Gals,
SOOOOOO sorry it has taken me so long to post these questions. Christmas is a busy time at the church and it's my first year on the job - hey no excuses! I'll be better.

Review in your mind for a few minutes what Vashti was asked to do & how that may have made her feel. Remember our discussion of how you might feel in that situation.

Read 1:9-22 over a few times.

What was Vashti doing when she was summoned by the king?

What was the king doing when he decided to summon Vashti?

What is a eunuch? (look it up in a dictionary)

How many eunuchs were there? Why so many?

What was Xerxes response to Esther's refusal to appear?

Who did Xerxes consult?

What was their biggest complaint about the Queen's actions?

What does this tell you about this society and men and women in it?

What was their solution to the problem? Detail it out - hint 5 parts.

God Bless gals! What time can you come down to the church on Wednesday? Let me know.

Hi Gals!

Great first get together last night! I'm really excited about this group! Okay, here are this week's questions for chapter 1:

What is the king's name?

How long has he been king?

What is the queen's name?

What's the name of their hometown? (hint citadel of ____)

How long was this party the king had? (hint verse 4)

Describe the palace where the parties were.

What did the king ask the queen to do?

How do you think that made the queen feel?

What was the queen's response?

What was the king's response to the queen's refusal?

Looks like a lot of questions but take a stab at it and let me know what you think! Press on! It will be worth it!

God Bless!
